Copywriting for corporate rebrand brochure
Wordsworks was commissioned to write the launch brochure for Equans Sci-Tech, the rebranded specialist division of Equans, which designs and delivers mission-critical cleanrooms, laboratories and manufacturing facilities.
Formerly known as Bouygues Energies & Services, the business was undergoing a rebrand to establish Equans Sci-Tech as a distinct identity within the wider group. The brochure needed to introduce this new identity to clients and prospects, explain the rationale behind the change, and showcase the business’s expertise in this area.
Our approach
Unlike many of our report-writing projects, this brief didn't call for stakeholder interviews. Instead, Equans Sci-Tech provided a wide range of existing source material gathered from across the business and the wider Equans organisation.
Our first task was to work out how this diverse material should be organised into a coherent narrative. We proposed and agreed a brochure structure that moved from the rebrand announcement and CEO welcome, through the company's service approach (Define, Design, Deliver), the markets it serves, its health and safety and sustainability credentials, its people and leadership team, a showcase of case studies, and finally an introduction to the wider Equans group.
With that framework in place, we reviewed, edited and rewrote the supplied content to create a consistent voice and message throughout, tightening language, removing repetition, and reworking technical and corporate copy into clear, confident brand messaging suitable for a client-facing audience. Existing leadership quotes were retained and refined, while linking copy was drafted from scratch to connect sections and reinforce the brochure's core message of certainty, technical excellence and single-partner accountability.
The result
The brochure successfully launched the new Equans Sci-Tech brand, giving the division a clear, distinct identity, while also leveraging the scale and credibility of the wider Equans and Bouygues group.
